Housing Assistance Corporation is pleased to announce Noelle McKay as Executive Director, effective immediately.

 

Brett Shaffer, President of the Board of Directors, states “As we approach our 25th anniversary we are excited to have Noelle lead us.  As Executive Director, Noelle will bring a great working relationship with the current staff, partnerships in the non-profit community that she has built over her first 17 years with HAC, and extensive knowledge of the organization.  The Board is eager to work together with her for years to come.”

 

The move forward in leadership is also well received by the agency’s partners.  Pam Hysong, Area Director for USDA Rural Development remarks that “USDA Rural Development and HAC have worked together since 1993 in their Self-Help Housing program.  Over the years, I have seen Ms. McKay’s commitment and dedication to HAC’s mission of providing affordable housing in Henderson County.  Her vast experience gained as a long-term member of the HAC team will translate into a seamless transition for the organization.  I commend HAC’s Board of Directors for choosing this very capable local candidate for the job, as Noelle McKay understands the needs of the community.”

Position: Executive Director

Description/Qualifications:  Housing Assistance Corporation seeks a full-time Executive Director to assume responsibility for all facets of agency operations for a community based nonprofit dedicated to developing housing.  The position is directly responsible for the recruitment, training and development of staff of 12, implementing strategic programmatic and real estate development initiatives, and overall on-going operations.  The position reports to the Board of Directors.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.  At least five years’ experience in a senior management role is required.  Excellent inter-personal and public speaking skills are required, as well as a working knowledge of current housing issues.

Notice to the Public

Henderson County will be awarded $400,000 of federal funds to rehabilitate 8 to 10 homes in Henderson County. These homes must be owned and occupied by low-income households. Mobile homes are not eligible. The form of assistance will be no interest, no payment loans which are forgiven over time. You may be eligible if your income is at or below the figures shown below.
